The Leeds striker has been discussing the Italian after they both scored against Bristol City.
Indeed, both netted (Antenucci from the spot) against Bristol City on Wednesday night - with the strike duo representing a big positive on a night most will remember for Leeds throwing away their 2-0 lead late on.
And the 23-year-old admits it is much harder to create chances when he is on his own up top for the Whites, praising Antenucci's contribution alongside him.
If boss Uwe Rosler is listening, he may well take on board the fact Wood is becoming quite a fan of working with the Italian.
The New Zealander told BBC Radio Leeds: "We worked well together today and it's nice, we're starting to form a bit of a bond.
"The partnership's going to take time but, when you play that one up front, it's difficult to create chances or get chances. But it was nice working with Mirco today and hopefully we can continue that."
Clearly, then, Wood is a fan of playing alongside Antenucci, while the fact the duo both netted against Bristol City sends an obvious message to Leeds boss Rosler.
Whether both can play alongside one another on a more regular basis will, of course, depend on the fixture and the availability of options in midfield.
United's late collapse in Bristol aside, the Wood - Antenucci partnership was very encouraging on Wednesday night - and it brought the first competitive game under Rosler where Leeds scored more than once.
