Tottenham are being extremely smart with their stance on Christian Eriksen

Italian champions Juventus are reportedly interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen.

According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur have no intention whatsoever of selling Christian Eriksen this summer.

The London Evening Standard recently reported that Italian champions Juventus are interested in the attacking midfielder, but it seems that Spurs are not going to entertain any bid.

This is an extremely smart decision from Tottenham, and one which is going to pay dividends in the long run.

Eriksen is arguably the most talented outfield player in the current Spurs squad and is of huge importance to head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Although the Denmark international has not started the 2015-16 Premier League campaign strongly, it is only a matter of time before he gets his form back.

In two league games this season, the 23-year-old has created five chances, has a pass accuracy of 76% and a shot accuracy of 67%, and has won two dribbles and three tackles.

During the 2014-15 campaign, the former Ajax star scored 10 goals and created 83 chances in 38 Premier League matches, while in 2013-14 he found the target seven times and created 68 chances in 25 league games.

Eriksen is key to Tottenham finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season, and it makes no sense whatsoever for the North London outfit to sell him this month.
