Report: Crystal Palace willing to sanction Glenn Murray’s sale, following Marouane Chamakh’s return to fitness

Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray could be set to move to Bournemouth.

According to the Mirror, Glenn Murray is now set to be sold by Crystal Palace following the return to fitness of Marouane Chamakh.

It is stated that Bournemouth retain their interest in Murray, and Palace want to recoup at least £3 million for the striker, but they are ready to sanction his sale.

Chamakh completed a 60 minute run-out for Palace’s Under-21 side on Monday, and although he may not be ready to start this weekend against Aston Villa, he will be back at full fitness before the end of the month.

The Morroco striker has scored 10 goals in 54 games for the Eagles, and Pardew believes he can lead the line of his impressive attacking side, along with back-up options Patrick Bamford and Connor Wickham.

The sale of Murray will thin down Pardew’s squad to a more respectable side considering the number of attacking players that have been signed this summer, and it is not expected that the Eagles will be looking to sign any more players before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
