Micky Quinn has a new nickname for Newcastle-owned Adam Armstrong

Newcastle United-owned Adam Armstrong has been in fine form for Coventry City of late.

Micky Quinn has given Newcastle United-owned forward Adam Armstrong a new nickname on social networking site Twitter.

The former Newcastle forward has called the 18-year-old England Under-18 international ‘Baby Goal Machine’.

Quinn gave Armstrong the new nickname following the youngster’s heroics for Coventry City on Tuesday evening.

The teenager was on target during Coventry’s 3-2 victory over Crewe Alexandra at home in League One.

Armstrong was on target in the 51st minute of the encounter at the Ricoh Arena when he fired past goalkeeper Ben Garratt.

It was the youngster’s fifth goal for the Sky Blues since joining the League One outfit on loan from Premier League club Newcastle last month.

The youngster is a very talented forward, and getting regular playing time at Coventry appears to be doing him a world of good.

Armstrong’s loan deal with Coventry runs out in January. Perhaps the youngster will then be able to deliver the goods for Newcastle.
