Manchester United transfer news: Pedro wants move completed in 72 hours; Sammer speaks out on Muller rumours

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United have been given three days to sign Barcelona forward Pedro.

The 28-year-old has been linked with United for weeks now and the latest report claims he wants a deal completed in no more than 72 hours or else he will remain at the Nou Camp for another season.

The report says Pedro is beginning to feel anxious that the £22million move has not yet been completed and has therefore set a time-limit to ensure he can focus on business in La Liga if necessary rather than waiting until deadline day.

In other news, the Daily Mail claims United are not the only club interested in Pedro, with Chelsea allegedly readying a late bid in an attempt to snatch the Spaniard out of Louis van Gaal’s grasp.

United are said to remain in pole position but that will not stop the Blues from chancing their hand.

And finally, ESPN has published comments from Bayern Munich’s sporting executive Matthias Sammer, who backed up Karl Heinz Rummenigge’s suggestion that alleged United target Thomas Muller is not for sale at any price.

United have reportedly bid £60million for the German international but the Bundesliga club are said to be standing firm.
