George Thorne sends message on Twitter after Derby draw

Derby County and Middlesbrough played out a 1-1 draw at the iPro Stadium in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Derby County midfielder George Thorne has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s performance against Middlesbrough at home on Tuesday evening.

The Rams’ disappointing start to the 2015-16 Championship campaign continued, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Boro at the iPro Stadium.

Visitors Middlesbrough took the lead as early as the 16th minute of the encounter when George Friend's scuffed shot found Kike and the striker fired across goal and into the bottom left-hand corner.

It was 1-0 to Aitor Karanka’s side until the 88th minute, when Derby restored parity through Johnny Russell, who drilled home from close range after connecting with a cross.

Following the match, Derby midfielder Thorne took to Twitter to have his say on the performance and the final result.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, hosts Derby had 68% of the possession, took six shots of which four were on target and earned four corners.

Derby are 14th in the Championship table at the moment with three points from as many matches.
