Kyle Ebecilio opts for Nottingham Forest move

Forest City Ground

HITC Sport understands that former Arsenal youngster is on his way to the City Ground

Kyle Ebecilio has opted to join Nottingham Forest on-loan for the season, rejecting moves to the Premier League, HITC Sport understands.

The 21-year-old interested a host of clubs from the Premier League and Championship, but in the end there were three offers on the table.

Both Everton and Swansea were willing to offer him a route back to the top-flight, after he spent most of youth career with Arsenal - before deciding to leave for Twente.

However, Ebecilio knows the offer of first-team football at the City Ground was too good to turn down - so has opted to make the move to join Dougie Freedman's squad.

Ebecilio - who has scored 10 goals in his 59 league appearances for Twente over the past two seasons - is due in England for his medical in the next 24 hours, after which point his signing should be confirmed.

The news is a major boost after Forest's decision to keep Henri Lansbury, as confirmed by owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi via his twitter account.
