Aitor Karanka’s team's positive start to the 2015-16 Championship campaign continued, as they held promotion rivals Derby to a 1-1 draw at the iPro Stadium.
Visitors Boro took the lead as early as the 16th minute of the encounter when George Friend's scuffed shot found Kike and the striker fired across goal and into the bottom left-hand corner.
It was 1-0 to Middlesbrough until the 88th minute, when Derby restored parity through Johnny Russell, who drilled home from close range after connecting with a cross.
Following the match, Boro goalkeeper Konstantopoulos took to Twitter to have his say on the performance and the final result.
