Diego Poyet has joined Milton Keynes Dons on a season-long loan deal from West Ham United.

West Ham United midfielder Diego Poyet has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Milton Keynes Dons on a loan deal.

The 20-year-old has moved to the newly-promoted Championship outfit on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side West Ham.

The talented Uruguay Under-20 international is delighted to have joined Karl Robinson’s side and is already looking forward to playing for them.

Poyet joined West ham from London rivals Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2014.

The 20-year-old played on loan for Championship side Huddersfield Town for a short spell during the 2014-15 campaign.

The Uruguay Under-20 international could make just three Premier League appearances for West Ham, creating one chance and having a pass accuracy of 91% in the process.

The youngster featured in the Europa League qualifying rounds for the Hammers earlier this summer, but it seems that manager Slaven Bilic does not think that he is ready to play regularly in the first team yet.
