Clement explains strong message over his style at Derby County

Derby County West Stand

Derby County manager Paul Clement has suggested he won't be looking to make big changes at the club in terms of playing style.

Derby County manager Paul Clement has told the Derby Telegraph that he’s determined for the team to not lose their way in terms of their philosophy and style.

Clement has endured a challenging start to his career in charge of the Rams, but he holds a firm belief in what he’s trying to achieve and the way he wants his team to play.

Whether that will be enough to get the club into a position where promotion is possible over the second half of the season remains to be seen.

“We will continue to do the things we have been doing, maintain confidence and not lose our way in terms of our style and philosophy,” he told the Derby Telegraph.

“Concentrate on the performance and the outcome will take care of itself.”

“There has been a lot of changes and it does take time but we don't want it to take too much time.”

Patience the key for everyone

Clement’s message seems to be one that suggests patience will be the key for everyone connected to the football club.

The players need to be patient as they adjust to the new ideas coming across from the boss and the fans need to be patient as they look for consistency in terms of the impressive way that hopefully the Rams will play.

There are plenty of challenges and issues to come over the next few months and while the club has strived for a perfect performance under Clement, it’s still more than possible of happening on more than one occasion.
