MK Dons have lined up a loan move for West Ham United midfielder Diego Poyet, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Poyet joined West Ham from Charlton last summer, but struggled to establish himself in the first team, making just three appearances in the Premier League
The 20-year-old had a spell out on loan at Huddersfield Town last season, and with the player still down the pecking order at Upton Park it appears he could go out on loan again.
Poyet featured for West Ham in the early qualifying rounds of the Europa League, but now they are out of Europe his first-team chances are set to be limited.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is happy to send Poyet out on loan so that he can get valuable match action under his belt and continue his development.
News of his availability on loan has alerted a number of clubs who are keen to bring in the Uruguay Under-20 international, but MK Dons are in pole position to land Poyet.
MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is thought to be an admirer of Poyet and sees him as valuable addition to his squad on a season long loan.
