Watford and West Ham fans react on Twitter to Alessandro Diamanti transfer

Former West Ham United attacking midfielder Alessandro Diamanti has joined Watford on a season-long loan deal from Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao.

Watford fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the signing of Alessandro Diamanti.

The newly-promoted Premier League outfit have recruited the attacking midfielder on a season-long loan deal from Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao.

The Hornets announced the signing on their official website on Monday, adding that the deal is subject to receiving international clearance.

Diamanti is a highly-rated attacking midfielder who is technically very gifted and knows the Premier League well, having featured in the top flight of English football with West Ham United during the 2009-10 season.

During that campaign, the 32-year-old scored eight goals in 30 games and was voted runner-up for West Ham’s 2009-10 Player of the year award.
