Yoann Gourcuff has been offered to Premier League outfit Watford on a free transfer, according to The Sun.
The British tabloid claims that the 29-year-old attacking midfielder wants to move to the Premier League.
However, the Frenchman is looking for a weekly wage of £70,000, and this could scupper a move to Watford, according to the report.
Good signing for Watford?
Watford have been busy in the summer transfer window and have signed a number of well-known players such as Etienne Capoue, Valon Behram and Matej Vydra.
However, the Hornets would be better off not making a move for Gourcuff this month, even though the Frenchman is a free agent at the moment and will not cost any transfer fee.
Back when he was young, the France international was rated as one of the most promising players in the world.
However, things have not gone according to plan for the former AC Milan man, who has failed to meet the expectations he raised during the early years of his career.
