Norwich and Southampton are looking to sign Napoli defender Koulibaly.
Southampton are also referenced in the article as attempting to sign the defender, with Serie A side Napoli wanting at least £8 million for one of their key players.
Norwich have struggled in the transfer market since their return to the top flight, managing to bring in just four players on permanent transfers.
With just two weeks left, Alex Neil is still looking to complete more business, and it appears as if Koulibaly is at the top of his wishlist.
Who is Kalidou Koulibaly?
A 24-year-old defender, Koulibaly is well regarded for his physical strength and ability in the tackle, whilst his distribution and composure on the ball are also praised as a centre-back.
The 24-year-old started 27 Serie A games for Napoli last season, having enjoyed spells with Metz and Genk before moving to Italy last summer. A former French youth international, he has developed into one of the best defenders in the division, and the £8 million asking price seems remarkably low for a player of his quality.
It remains to be seen if Norwich formalise their interest in Koulibaly, but the Canaries would be unwise to waste the chance of signing a highly talented player for such a good price.
