Aston Villa put out an entertaining under-21 side for their clash with Derby County last night.
Last season's breakthrough star Jack Grealish made his return to action, and scored the winning goal.
He was assisted by Spanish prospect Carles Gil, who himself was supplied by new signing Adama Traore, who was making his first appearance at any level for the club after his recent transfer from Barcelona.
Traore played 90 minutes, while another new signing Mark Bunn also featured in goal.
All three of Villa's attacking trio of Gil, Grealish and Traore were lively, and will have put themselves into contention to feature in the club's next Premier League game away at Crystal Palace.

Traore is a player tipped for the very top at Barcelona, and it still seems remarkable that Villa have been able to prise him away from the La Liga champions on a permanent basis.
With their glut of new signings, including Jordan Ayew, Jordan Veretout, and Rudy Gestede, Villa have potential to be one of the more exciting attacking teams in the Premier League if they begin to click, and both Carles Gil and Jack Grealish can play prominent roles too.
