Rio Ferdinand was back in the Manchester United dressing room last night, but not in a playing capacity.
The former centre-back popped by to his old spot, ahead of the Champions League clash with Club Brugge.
Ferdinand was working as a pundit for BT Sport, and posted the image above to his Instagram page, expressing delight that European nights were back at Old Trafford.
There were none last season as the club dealt with the fallout of David Moyes' disastrous year as manager, but went on to earn a top four spot.
The last Champions League match at Old Trafford was one Ferdinand did feature in, a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich - a game in which none other than Bastian Schweinsteiger scored.
This time around there was a much better outcome for United, winning 3-1, with Schweinsteiger a substitute for the home side.
Memphis Depay scored a brace, before Marouane Fellaini netted a late header, and Ferdinand's potential long-term replacement Chris Smalling looked dominant at centre-back.
