Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has confirmed that Michail Antonio is unsettled at the club.
The star man was surprisingly left out of the club's home draw with Charlton this evening, and Freedman has told BBC Radio Nottingham that Antonio's head has been turned.
The winger was missed, with Forest lacking a spark in the 0-0 draw at the City Ground.
Freedman on Antonio: "We rejected a bid on Monday and we've spoken to Michail and decided he wasn't in the right frame of mind to play"— BBC Nottingham Sport (@BBCRNS) August 18, 2015
Antonio was a summer signing from Sheffield Wednesday last season, and his lack of focus is disappointing, considering the way Henri Lansbury has remained part of the side despite rumours concerning his own future.
Forest need to stand firm and tell the Antonio he is not for sale, having invested in him just a year ago, for selling him to fellow East Midlands club Derby would create huge anger towards himself, and the club's management if they sanction such a deal.
