Celtic coach Stevie Frail praises 18-year-old Aidan Nesbitt

Another Celtic teenager is making waves for the young Hoops.

Celtic’s under-20 coach Stevie Frail has been speaking to the club’s official website about 18-year-old Aidan Nesbitt.

The attacking midfielder featured for the young Hoops in their recent match against Partick Thistle and scored twice, proving he has the talent to catch the attention of Celtic manager Ronny Deila in the future.

Nesbitt opened the scored against Partick before putting the icing on the cake with a third after Regan Hendry had doubled the advantage earlier in the match.

Nesbitt is predominantly an attacking midfielder who can also feature on the left wing if required and his goal-scoring threat means he is certainly one to watch this season and beyond.

Speaking after the teenager’s brace, Frail told celticfc.net, “He takes the ball on the half-turn, he takes people on, he can see a pass and he can play the pass, so I was really pleased with the second-half performance from Aidan.”

Celtic have so many promising young players coming through their ranks that their fans may not be sure who to get the most excited about, but if Nesbitt keeps up his current form he is likely to get his first-team chance sooner rather than later.
