The exciting Celtic talent netted twice in the first under-20 league game of the new season.
The 18-year-old’s two goals helped his side to a 3-0 victory and gave Stevie Frail’s side an opening day victory in the new league campaign.
“It was a great start to the season, a good three points, good three goals, not conceding it was excellent," Nesbitt told Celtic TV.
“It was slow first half we weren’t passing it as well as we would have liked, we weren’t pressing as well as we would have liked; we went in at half-time, Stevie told us what he wanted in the second half and we did it.”
Nesbitt may be young but he is extremely talented and if he keeps going like this he could well have a very bright future at Celtic Park.
For now he will be focusing solely on ensuring he gets more goals – and inspires more victories – for the under-20 side, but as Celtic manager Ronny Deila showed last season he is not afraid to give young players a chance if they are deemed good enough.
More two-goal performances and Nesbitt could join that particular queue, although he will not be getting ahead of himself knowing just how many talented players there are - some young and some more experienced - all fighting for a chance with the Bhoys.
