A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted by BT Sport stating that he still needs one or two new players in his squad.

The Argentine is actively looking for more fresh additions following the confirmation of Clinton Njie’s move to White Hart Lane.

There’s still arguably too much pressure hanging over key centre forward Harry Kane at the moment.

“When will the club sign a striker? Maybe next week, or the next - we need one or two players more,” he said.

Pochettino has also been quoted by the Daily Star suggesting that Kane needs time to build up his fitness.

Kane has looked a little way off his best in the games against Manchester United and Stoke as he searches for his first goal of the new season.

Pochettino feels the player needs a little bit of room to start getting his confidence moving in the right direction.

“Harry needs time, time to improve his performance and his fitness level and build again his confidence,” he said.

The Daily Star has reported that Tottenham are poised to complete a deal for Baggies forward Saido Berahino.

The paper claims Spurs are keen on a deal to add the forward to their attacking ranks for the new season, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bolster his offensive options.

The paper states that the Baggies value the player at around £25 million.
