Former Manchester United and West Ham United defender Rio Ferdinand has been singing the praises of Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil on social networking site Twitter.
The former Real Madrid star was in action for the North London outfit on Sunday afternoon, as they defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 away from home in the Premier League.
Ozil started the encounter at Selhurst Park and played until the 83rd minute, and former Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers centre-back Ferdinand was impressed with his performance.
Another #Ozil assist.....cuts a lazy looking figure at times but he can paint a picture with that left foot of his!!— Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) August 16, 2015
Ozil was superb for Arsenal against Palace on Sunday afternoon and was at times mesmerising.
The 2014 World Cup winner took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 98%, created five chances, put in 10 crosses, attempted one dribble, and made one interception and two clearances.
