Yohan Cabaye made his competitive home debut for Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, as he lined up for the Premier League game against Arsenal.
The France international midfielder has been a marquee signing for Palace in the summer transfer window, arriving from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain last month.
The 29-year-old established himself as one of the better midfielders in the Premier League during his time at Newcastle United, and he has already started to show his quality upon his return to the English top flight.
Against Arsenal on Sunday, Cabaye was once again playing an important role for Palace in midfield, stopping the opposition’s attacks as well as launching their own.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, the former Lille star took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 93%, put in five crosses, and made seven interceptions, two clearances and three blocks.
During the match at Selhurst Park which ended in a 2-1 defeat to Palace, Cabaye battled for the ball with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin, as shown in the photos above and below.
