Leeds United played out a goalless draw with Reading away from home in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Leeds United’s disappointing start to the 2015-16 Championship campaign continued on Sunday afternoon, as they played out a goalless draw with Reading away from home.
Having drawn 1-1 with Burnley at Elland Road on the opening weekend of the season and losing the League Cup first-round tie on penalties to Doncaster Rovers last week, the Whites were looking for a morale-boosting win at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.
However, it was not to be, as Uwe Rosler’s side had to settle for a share of the spoils away from home.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, Leeds had 49% of the possession, took nine shots of which only one was on target and earned just one corner.
Hosts Reading had 51% of the possession, took 14 shots of which three were on target and earned five corners.
Watching the game at the Madejski Stadium was Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino, who will want the team to finish in the top six of the Championship this season and stand a chance of getting promoted to the Premier League via the playoffs.
There were also as many as 4131 Leeds fans at Reading’s home ground, cheering on their team.
