Manchester United transfer news: No Biglia bid; Pedro to sign tomorrow; De Gea latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to a report from the Mirror, Real Madrid are prepared to give David de Gea a £12million singing-on fee if he joins them on a free next summer.

The Manchester United goalkeeper has less than a year left on his current contract and has been strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu during this transfer window. But United continue to play hard-ball and it remains to be seen if there will be a change of stance in the next fortnight.

Real are said to still want the player this summer but if he does have to wait, it seems De Gea will be given a huge financial reward to head for the Spanish capital as a free agent in July.

In other news, the Mirror claims United have not made a bid for Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia despite recent claims to the contrary.

In truth United do not need any more midfield reinforcements at this time given the recent arrivals of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.

And finally, the same newspaper has followed up on reports from Spain claiming United will finally complete a transfer for Barcelona forward Pedro on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old remains on the books at the Nou Camp despite weeks of speculation, but apparently a £22million deal has finally been agreed as United look to bring in a replacement for Angel Di Maria.
