It's two wins from two for Liverpool and that will be the most important thing for manager Brendan Rodgers as he looks for his side to get some early season momentum behind them.
Simon Mignolet - Not much for him to do despite the Bournemouth pressure though he will have wanted to command his area better and be more assured under the high ball, though when his defence nearly failed him he made his feelings very well known - 6
Nathaniel Clyne - The most calming influence on a still pretty nervy back line. Won a few good challenges and his delivery allowed Christian Benteke the opportunity to double Liverpool's lead, only for him to hit the bar. - 7
Martin Skrtel - Looked a bit out of sorts in possession in the early stages and is still playing with fire when it comes to wrestling with players in the penalty area but did get better as the game went on - 6
Dejan Lovren - He had bit of a let off when Bournemouth's Tommy Elphick had a goal chalked off. It shows he still has work to do to prove he is worth the £20 million spent on him last summer, but like Skrtel he seemed to get better as the game went on - 6
Joe Gomez - Considering he is playing out of position he has done very well again, and put in, overall, another mature and composed performance. There is still the odd mistake that you will see with the young player but they can be eradicated with more games and experience - 7
James Milner - You can tell he is going to be very important to this Liverpool team this season. He was orchestrating training ground moves, covered a lot of ground, was barking orders, and led the side well in Henderson's absence. Needs to work on free-kicks though, even if there were a few laughs from the crowd - 8
Jordan Henderson - He didn't have much of an impact on proceedings but looked busy. Went close to scoring during Liverpool's best spell of the game and didn't do a lot wrong before his withdrawal - 6
Philippe Coutinho - A threat for much of the game that the Cherries couldn't quite work out what to do with him. Should have added to his opening day strike having spurned a couple of opportunities but he was at the centre of most of Liverpool's good play - 7
Adam Lallana - It's hard to see where he fits into the current Liverpool side effectively but it's hard to fault his work rate. He needs a big performance soon to establish himself in the starting XI for the medium term - 5
Jordon Ibe - Always looks promising and hard to play against but nothing spectacular on show from him on the night. Got beyond the back line well in first half but there needs to be more end product - 5
Christian Benteke - A big night for him to get off the mark and start paying back some of the £32.5 million Liverpool paid Aston Villa for his services. Took up some good positions, linked up well with others, especially Coutinho, and ought to have got more than his much talked about winner.
Emre Can - He has a lot to learn in the holding role but still has the tools to do the job. It looks like a case of time in the role he will be get better - 6
Roberto Firmino - It looks as though it's going to be a while before Liverpool see the best of their new Brazilian as it looks as though he hasn't quite adapted yet. Showed some nice touches but is going to take time to adapt to the Liverpool way of playing - 4
Alberto Moreno - Played an unfamiliar role for the Reds tonight as he came on in a left wing role. An impressive cameo with a run that killed the game, while offering protection to Gomez in the latter stages - 6
