Arsenal legend Ian Wright explained on BBC's Match of the Day on Saturday why West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have two recognised strikers in their squad at the moment - Harry Kane and Emmanuel Adebayor - which means that they do need at least one more player for that position.
According to The Daily Mail, Berahino is on the radar of the the North London outfit, and former Arsenal striker Wright believes that he would be a good signing for them.
“I think so, especially with him and Harry Kane having played at the Under-21 level,” Wright said on BBC's Match of the Day programme on Saturday. “They know each other. It could be a good signing and it could really work out for him.”
Berahino is one of the most promising young English players and could go on to become a brilliant striker in the coming years.
The Englishman is an important player for West Brom and one of the first names on Tony Pulis’s teamsheet.
Although the 22-year-old has yet to score in the Premier League after two matches this season, during the 2014-15 campaign he was on target 14 times and created 28 chances in 38 league appearances.
