With Adrian suspended, West Ham fans would rather Jenkinson stayed in goal

West Ham - Upton Park: Boleyn Ground

Some of the West Ham faithful made their feelings clear on Twitter.

West Ham United fans retweeted en masse when asked whether they would rather see Carl Jenkinson stay in goal instead of Darren Randolph against Bournemouth in their next Premier League clash.

Indeed, when a West Ham supporter account posted jokingly that the defender should continue in between the sticks, many nodded in agreement as well as RTing.

The defender had to go in goal late on during the east London side's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at Upton Park due to Adrian's sending off. And, if the Spaniard remains suspended, the Hammers faithful will have to put up with Randolph as his replacement, who has looked rather shaky since signing from Birmingham City.

Plenty did reply on Twitter, though, expecting the FA to rescind Adrian's red card as they believe it was completely unjust. Former forward Rodney Marsh also offered that very thought on social media.

That will no doubt be the optimum outcome for West Ham fans, as Randolph clearly hasn't made any waves at Upton Park so far - while the Jenkinson calls are, of course, not serious.
