Leeds United played out a goalless draw with Reading away from home in the Championship this afternoon.
Teenage midfielder Phillips and striker Wood both started the Whites’ Championship game against Reading away from home.
While Phillips played for 72 minutes of the match, Wood featured for the entire 90 minutes, as the game ended in a goalless draw at the Madejski Stadium.
Following the match, Rosler gave his thoughts on the duo, as posted on Leeds’ official twitter page.
Rosler on Kalvin Phillips: "The boy has potential, he put in a solid performance in midfield today." #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) August 16, 2015
Rosler also hails Chris Wood: "Especially in the first half, his hold-up play was excellent. He will get his goals, don't worry." #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) August 16, 2015
The game was largely uneventful, and a draw was the fair result at the Madejski Stadium.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, Leeds had 49% of the possession, took nine shots of which one was on target, and earned one corner.
Hosts Reading had 51% of the possession, took 14 shots of which three were on target and earned five corners.
Leeds are back in action on Wednesday when they take on Bristol City away from home in the Championship, while Reading face a trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
