Report: Crystal Palace all set to sign Dutch international goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet by the end of the month

The PSV Eindhoven man would make it four keepers on the books at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace are believed to be interested in bringing in another goalkeeper this summer, in the form of PSV Eindhoven stopper Jeroen Zoet.

SoccerNews in Holland is now reporting that Palace are in fact set to sign the player by the end of the month and the transfer deadline.

24-year-old stopper Zoet is a former Netherlands Under-21 international who has been first choice stopper at PSV since the start of the 2013-14 season. Highly rated, he would be a great signing for Palace boss Alan Pardew if he could get him in.

His form has been so good in the past two seasons that he is also a regular member of the Dutch national team now, although he is yet to make his senior cap for Oranje.

His signing would however be odd, considering Palace have already signed a keeper this summer.

They snapped up Alex McCarthy from QPR earlier in the campaign and already have veteran stopper Julian Speroni at the club. Wayne Hennessey is however all set for an exit and with Speroni now 36-years-old it could be simply Palace planning for the future by bringing in another top-class young keeper to battle with McCarthy for the number one spot.
