The Swindon Town loanee shared the pic in good jest.

Liverpool youngster Jordan Williams is a player that the club have high hopes for in the future. The 19-year-old Welsh Under-21 international has trained regularly with the Liverpool first-team in the past year and spent part of last season playing for Notts County on loan.

A powerful player, with a good touch, Williams can play at both centre-back and in the heart of midfield.

In many ways he is similar in playing style to a current Liverpool player in Emre Can.

And the two got acquainted on opposing sides in pre-season, as highlighted by Williams’ Tweet this evening.

Williams is currently on loan at Swindon Town and the two teams took each other on in a pre-season friendly this summer.

The two went up against each other and it would appear that Can gave him the long arm of the law with a ferocious hand-off – as if he was playing a game of rugby union and not football.

Williams has already played three times this season for Swindon, playing 90 minutes in all three games for the League One club.
