A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to a report from Turkish website Fanatik, Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is a target for Besiktas this summer.

The Belgian international played a key role under United manager Louis van Gaal last season but his suspension at the start of this campaign means he has not yet been seen, while the arrival of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin is likely to limit his first-team chances when he is available for selection once more.

It remains to be seen if United will part with a player who proved to be a consistent goal-threat when played further forward but there certainly seems to be interest if Fellaini does move on.

In other news, Bundesliga journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has spoken out following a report from the Express claiming Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller wants to move to United.

It was always going to be unlikely that Bayern would sell two of their iconic names to United in a single summer and taking to Twitter Fjortoft said, “Not one word in German press about it. Bayern say ‘Muller will stay forever’.”

And finally, the Mail on Sunday claims Chelsea are worried that United are interested in their target John Stones.

The Everton centre-back is one of the most talented young defenders in the country and the latest report suggests Blues boss Jose Mourinho is worried United and rivals Manchester City are secretly plotting a late bid for the centre-back.
