Reading and Leeds United drew 0-0 at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon.
Reading and Leeds United played out a 0-0 draw at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon, meaning both teams are searching for their first win of the season.
After Reading lost on the opening weekend to Birmingham City and Leeds drew with Burnley, managers Steve Clarke and Uwe Rosler were hoping for a victory to kickstart their respective seasons.
However, the meeting between the two sides this afternoon ended in stalemate as they played out a fairly uninspiring encounter.
Leeds mustered just one shot on target in 90 minutes, and manager Rosler will certainly be hoping for a more consistent goal threat in the coming weeks.
Reading put pressure on the Leeds goal at times, and whilst Portuguese striker Orlando Sa went close, neither side could make the breakthrough.
The result leaves Reading in 19th place with one point to their name, whilst Leeds sit 16th with two points, as both teams look for their first league wins of the campaign.
Both teams are in action again in midweek, with Reading travelling to Sheffield Wednesday, whilst Leeds make the trip to Bristol City on Wednesday night.
