Michael Jackson's statue at Fulham looks better than this effort!
Ask anyone in Newcastle who their favourite footballer is and I guarantee they will say Alan Shearer – apart from one or two who will say Philippe Albert.
Shearer is not only the leading Premier League goalscorer but Newcastle's leading goal scorer and yet despite his club icon status, the now Match of the Day pundit had nothing at the club to honour him. In fact, the club renamed 'Shearer's bar' to 'NINE'... ouch!
However, former chairman, Freddy Shepard decided to finally give the famous captain his very own statue, and sent off to China to have him immortalised in bronze.
Sounds great, right?
Well, it seems that Newcastle fans aren't exactly impressed with the statue's representation of Shearer – it looks more like the Michael Jackson one at Fulham than the Bobby Moore statue at Wembley.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Shearer's statue that looks nothing at all like him...
