Darren O’Dea has taken to social networking site Twitter to back Liam Henderson for success at Hibernian.
The 19-year-old central midfielder has joined the Scottish Championship club on a season-long loan deal from Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
The Scotland Under-19 international has moved to Hibs as part of the deal which saw midfielder Scott Allan leave them for Celtic on a four-year contract last week.
Former Celtic defender O’Dea believes that Henderson will prove to be a good signing for Hibernian and will be more influential than Allan.
What a great signing Liam Henderson is for @HibsOfficial ... I think he could be more influential than Scott Allan would have been.— Darren O'Dea (@odea_darren) August 15, 2015
Henderson is a talented young player, and him playing in the Scottish Championship on a regular basis is only going to help his development.
The teenager would have struggled for playing time at Celtic this season, and it made sense for him to move to Hibernian.
Hibs are aiming for automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership, and playing in a competitive environment will give Henderson a taste of what he can expect at Celtic in years to come.
