Leeds United defender Liam Cooper reacted to his side's 0-0 stalemate with Championship rivals Reading on Saturday, thanking the fans for their tremendous support at the Madejski Stadium.
4,131 travelling supporters watched Uwe Rosler's men play out a goalless draw against their Berkshire opponents with chances proving few and far between.
Nonetheless, Cooper was evidently happy with his side's second point in as many matches. Taking to social network site Twitter, he said the following:
Always gutted not to win but we will take a point! Thanks for the amazing support, took the place over.. Roll on Tuesday #MOT— Liam Cooper (@LiamCooper__) August 16, 2015
For the centre-back and his team-mates the result represents with a valuable point away from home and a first clean sheet of the new campaign.
On a personal level, he will be proud of his defensive efforts, having completed 100% of his tackles while making two interceptions, two blocks and five clearances.
The Whites now prepare to face Bristol City at the Ashton Gate Stadium on Wednesday as they look to claim their first three points of the season against the Championship new-boys.
