The Celtic youngster is hoping to feature against Rangers a week today.
Henderson only recently arrived from a temporary spell with Norwegian side Rosenberg but he will have to wait a little longer to add to his 23 senior appearances for the Bhoys.
The 19-year-old headed on loan to Hibs as part of the deal that took Scott Allan to Celtic and now Henderson has the chance to impress manager Ronny Deila a little closer to home.
He came off the substitutes’ bench for Saturday’s match against Morton and quickly set his sights on taking on Rangers next week.
“I’m glad to be here,” Henderson told the Daily Record, “Rangers are next up and these are the kind of games you want to play in. It should be quite a match.”
Henderson may only be a teenager but he has already scored two goals for Celtic’s first-team and he netted three times in just 11 matches for Rosenberg at the end of the last campaign.
He should go on to become a very important player for Hibs this season and if he does so, he should then be at a stage to play regularly for Celtic’s first-team for years to come.
He certainly has the talent, and Celtic’s supporters will be keeping a particularly close eye on him if he is involved against their fierce rivals next Sunday.
