Swansea City followed up last weekend's draw against Chelsea with a convincing 2-0 win over Newcastle United this afternoon.
The Swans impressed against Chelsea last Saturday, and were in fine form again as they swept aside Steve McClaren's Magpies at the Liberty Stadium.
Intriguingly, it was the exact same goalscorers as last time out, as Bafetimbi Gomis latched on to a through ball by Jonjo Shelvey, rounded Tim Krul and slotted home.
By half time, Newcastle were down to ten men as right back Daryl Janmaat was sent off for two bookable offences, giving the Magpies a huge mountain to climb.
In the second half, Jefferson Montero - who was nothing short of sensational against Chelsea - continued to terrorise full backs as he crossed in for Andre Ayew to score.
Garry Monk's side continue to show the ability to push for a top seven place, whilst Newcastle have somewhat come back down to earth after a good draw against Southampton last weekend.
McClaren has plenty of work to do if he is to turn this Newcastle side around, but they came up against a fine Swansea team this afternoon, so fans shouldn't be too disheartened.
