Tim Sherwood's side secured the highly-rated Barcelona youngster and their former forward is excited by his potential.
The Villans completed a move for the highly-rated youngster this week, making him the latest in a number of recruits brought in by manager Tim Sherwood this summer.
Traore was highly rated at the Nou Camp but unable to break into the first-team squad, with superstars Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez all guaranteed starting places, while the likes of Pedro and Munir were also ahead of him in the pecking order.
The move to the Premier League will give him the perfect to chance for regular first-team football though, and Yorke is excited by his capture.
“I like that signing, I think this guy could be a bargain,” he told Sky Sports.
“I’ve seen little clips of this kid and he’s got something about him. He’s got all the attributes, he can go past people, he can score a goal and I think he will relish the chance of a combination with Gestede and him, linking up is a possibility. That’s also a good sign there but he’s a little bit of an unknown.”
Premier League game time almost assured
If Traore can fulfil his obvious potential, there is no denying that he could be a very good signing for Aston Villa.
As already mentioned, he struggled to break into the Barca first-team but that should not be an issue at Villa, with there not being much competition for his desired place on the right wing.
Regulars senior football in the Premier League will only boost his development further as well, suggesting this could be one of the shrewdest signings of the summer from Tim Sherwood.
