The Glasgow Rangers manager has another loanee arriving at Ibrox this week.
Rangers missed out on the signature of long-term target Scott Allan yesterday, to the worst possible rivals. The Hibernian midfielder has instead signed for Glasgow rivals Celtic, despite being a life-long Rangers fan.
The club had tried for ages to get Allan to play his football for Ibrox, having three bids for the player rejected by the Edinburgh side. Hibs did not want to sell him to a Championship rival and were proved right to stand their ground, instead selling him to the top-flight.
However, Rangers boss Mark Warburton has now claimed that the club will be bringing in a new player next week on loan.
He confirmed the news yesterday, as quoted by the Daily Record:
“We have a couple of new boys in on loan this week. We will have another very exciting player coming in on loan next week. Then we will be almost there in terms of the squad."
The signing would come just a few days after the club snapped up Tottenham Hotspur youngsters Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball on loan and the rumour mill will certainly churn suggesting that another player from the club could come through the door.
Rangers have had an excellent start to the season, winning all three of their fixtures and scoring 12 goals.
They will therefore be hopeful of making that four against Alloa Athletic tomorrow before announcing a new player arriving in Glasgow next week.
