Trinity Road Stand - Aston Villa

The Malian youngster has arrived from Barcelona this week.

Aston Villa took on Manchester United last night with their new look side looking to make it two wins from two in the Premier League this season.

Of course their record against United is famously abysmal and therefore the expectation was always going to be low around Villa Park regarding a potential win against the club.

Indeed they did lose the game. They lost 1-0 thanks to an Adnan Januzaj goal in the first half in what was a fairly uninspiring fixture for a Friday night.

But there was a reason to be cheerful, with the unveiling of a brand new signing.

Adama Traore was signed from Barcelona yesterday. The Malian attacker joined the club for a fee reported to be in the region of £7 million by the BBC.

The talented winger, who shone at this summer’s under-20 World Cup where he was named best player, has Villa fans excited and yesterday came out onto the turf at Villa Park for the first time to say hello to his new adoring fans.

Villa will hope that Traore can go on to help the club get the best over Crystal Palace next weekend.
