Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has told BT Sport that Tottenham Hotspur need to sign a winger and a central midfielder before the summer transfer window slams shut next month.
The former Manchester City man made the comments during the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on Saturday morning.
“They need a central midfield player to go along with (Ryan) Mason and (Nabil) Bentaleb, who are good, but they need an older player to go with them.”
Tottenham’s summer activity
Tottenham have been quite active in the summer transfer window so far, with Pochettino clearly showing that he means business this season.
The likes of Paulinho, Lewis Holtby, Etienne Capoue, Younes Kaboul, Benjamin Stambouli and Roberto Soldado have all left White Hart Lane, while defenders Kevin Wimmer, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld and forward Clinton N’Jie have been recruited.
The North London outfit need to sign at least one striker before the summer transfer window slams shut next month.
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino seems to be building a team in his own image and only wants to have players who will be involved in their challenge to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
