Lord Sugar has stated on social networking site Twitter that neither Manchester United nor Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
The former Tottenham chairman made his prediction on Saturday, explaining his reason why he does not fancy United to finish in a Champions League position.
United have won both their Premier League games so far this season, although they have not been hugely convincing.
Louis van Gaal’s side defeated Tottenham 1-0 at Old Trafford in their opening match of the campaign, before edging past Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park on Friday evening.
The Red Devils are challenging for the Premier League title this season, and despite their less than impressive performances so far, their chances should not be written off.
As for Spurs, they lost their opening game and were held to a 2-2 by Stoke City at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
The North London outfit’s main objective this campaign is to finish in the top four, but their disappointing start to the season suggests that they will find it tough to do so.
