Indeed, West Ham lost 2-1 at home to Leicester just a week after beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Naturally, the mood went from one of elation to sheer disappointment at Upton Park.
The quality of the Foxes' performance wasn't lost on the home crowd but more was still expected from the Irons, despite a refereeing performance that West Ham fans felt was almost designed to impede the hosts.
After the game, one fan questioned whether boss Bilic has stopped the full-backs from getting forward but Dicks, a member of the Croat's backroom staff, doesn't believe that is the case.
@JULIAN3DICKS our best attacking play last season came through full backs, why has Slaven stopped them from getting forward as much— Greg Stokes (@Stokesy_G) August 15, 2015
Meanwhile, Dicks also gave a short nod of approval towards summer signing Pedro Obiang, who he believes delivered a good performance in midfield for the Hammers.

West Ham now host Bournemouth in a week's time and, after their impressive win at Arsenal, it's now up to Bilic, Dicks and co to prove they can mastermind an attacking victory from home - not just a counterattacking one on the road.
