Confirmed: Tottenham v Stoke lineups

Tottenham Hotspur face Stoke City at White Hart Lane this afternoon.

Tottenham play their first home game of the season this afternoon, and will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Manchester United last weekend.

Kyle Walker's own goal handed Spurs a 1-0 loss on the opening day of the new Premier League season, and manager Mauricio Pochettino will hope for better this afternoon when they face Stoke City.

The starting line-up sees goalkeeper Hugo Lloris return from injury, whilst Ryan mason comes into the midfield in place of Nabil Bentaleb.

Teenage sensation Dele Alli is given a place on the bench, and is joined by winger Erik Lamela, with Mousa Dembele keeping his place on the right of midfield this afternoon.

Opponents Stoke beat Spurs 2-1 at White Hart Lane last season, and manager Mark Hughes will certainly hope for more of the same today.

They too opened with a 1-0 defeat last weekend, with Liverpool beating the Potters at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday.

Hughes responding by making the stunning swoop for Inter Milan winger Xherdan Shaqiri, but the Swiss international is missing today due to a suspension carried over from his time in Italy.

The side does feature some flair players such as Marko Arnautovic, Ibrahim Afellay and Mame Biram Diouf though, with Geoff Cameron continuing in central defence due to the prolonged absence of Ryan Shawcross.
