The Newcastle United loanee took to social media after scoring twice for the side he is on loan with.
It is a sign of just how well Newcastle loanee Adam Armstrong is doing at Coventry that he has taken to Twitter to apologise to fans for not getting his hat-trick!
Indeed, the 18-year-old was on fire for the League One side once again, scoring twice on his second appearance for Tony Mowbray's men.
Coventry went on to beat Millwall 4-0 - who were playing in the Championship only last year.
And Armstrong was one of their undoubted stars, taking to Twitter to praise fans but cheekily apologise about not netting a third.
Great 4-0 win away to Millwall, lads were excellent and so were the fans! Happy to have got 2 goals! sorry I didn't get my hat trick #soon— AdamArma (@AdamArma9) August 15, 2015
So impressive has the Newcastle teenager's start to life at Coventry been that some fans on Twitter have even been discussing bringing him back to St James' Park early.
Armstrong is on loan at the Midlands side but the Magpies are indeed short of strikers. The 18-year-old always had obvious talent - and pace - but the real question was whether he could produce on a regular basis.
So far, he has been immense, although it has only been two games for Coventry. How much more is there to come from the Newcastle man in League One, then?
