Adebayor wants West Ham transfer

According to ESPN, Emmanuel Adebayor is holding out for a move to West Ham, and is hoping the club revive their interest in him.

Tottenham forward Adebayor, 31, has already turned down a move to Aston Villa, as he wants to stay in London. The Hammers are in the market for a striker, and this potential availability has caused Adebayor to look towards the Boleyn Ground as a future destination.

Injury update

West Ham head of medical Stijn Vandenbroucke has given an update on the injury status of a number of first-team players to the official club website.

Pedro Obiang is back in full training and is available for action this weekend, whilst Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia are still out of action whilst their complete their rehabilitation.

Defender Joey O’Brien is set to return to first-team training on Sunday.

Ogbonna on Bilic

Summer signing Angelo Ogbonna has admitted that Slaven Bilic’s influence was a key factor in deciding to leave Juventus to sign with West Ham.

He told the club website: “I talked with the coach and he explained to me what he wanted to do with this Club. The manager sold me the story and I feel it is better for my career to come to West Ham now.”
