Tottenham media round-up: Adebayor hoping for West Ham move, Soldado leaves

Emmanuel Adebayor

A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Friday evening.

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is open to a move to West Ham United according to a report from ESPN.

The report says the forward hopes the Hammers revive their interest in him after his proposed move to Aston Villa fell through because he was reluctant to move from London, despite agreeing terms and passing a medical at Villa Park.

Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has informed Adeabayor that he is not part of his plans and he has not been included in the side's first team squad.

One man who has now left White Hart Lane is forward Roberto Soldado, with Tottenham confirming his move to Villarreal on Friday afternoon

Elsewhere, Tottenham will look to bounce back from their opening-day defeat to Manchester United by getting one over on a side that did the double over them last season when they host Stoke City at White Hart Lane tomorrow afternoon.

Toby Alderweireld has been impressed with the work the Potters have done in the transfer market, according to the London Evening Standard, but thinks that Spurs should have enough to overcome Mark Hughes's side.

He's quoted, saying: "Especially at home, we know we are capable of winning games in the Premier League so we'll make sure we do everything we can to take three points on Saturday."
