The right-back is currently without a club after leaving Beira-Mar.

A former Nottingham Forest youngster has turned up in something of a strange place. The player in question is Peter Gregory.

Gregory came through the ranks at Brighton and Portsmouth before heading off to Eastbourne Borough and Lewes in non-league football.

He impressed in non-league football and earned a move to Forest, although he never made a first-team appearance at the club.

From there he went on to play in the United States with Ventura County Fusion and then Portugal with Beira-Mar but he is currently without a club and has not played in England since leaving Nottingham Forest two years ago.

But this week he has been given a great opportunity, to train with Turkish giants Galatasaray. He, along with former Reading defender Ibrahima Sonko, has been training with the club this week with a reported link to former Reading midfielder Jem Karacan.

He even posted this picture on his Twitter account earlier, showing himself in training with the club.

Of course there is no chance of him joining Gala. The club have simply allowed the pair in for a visit of the club facilities and to undergo some training with the club – which must have been an excellent experience for the young lad.

Hopefully he can now push on and find himself a new team after his experience at Gala.
