Manchester United fans praise Adnan Januzaj on Twitter, but slam Wayne Rooney

The Red Devils captain was in poor form tonight and needs to find his game.

Manchester United have continued their winning start to the season with another 1-0 win in the Premier League.

The Red Devils defeated Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park in a comfortable, if not uninspiring fixture.

There were plenty of top performances on show.

Matteo Darmian and Chris Smalling were superb once again with Daley Blind holding his own at centre-back.

Juan Mata shone in midfield whilst Luke Shaw is looking to be getting back to his best.

But two players who received rather different reactions after and during the game from Manchester United fans were Adnan Januzaj and Wayne Rooney.

Januzaj had a great game in the number.10 role. He scored the winning goal and had Villa’s players chasing shadows for much of the first-half. He tailed off slightly in the second half but United fans were pleased with his input.

Rooney on the other hand was dire. Back in his favoured striker role his touch was off, his speed looks down and he never looked like causing any real trouble in the Villa box.

United are already short in the striker department and the form of Rooney will soon become a concern as he does not currently look to be in his best form.

United fans were unforgiven on Twitter and will be hoping their captain comes good soon.
