Jack Grealish was delighted on Twitter upon discovering Aston Villa's second-round opponents in the Capital One Cup.
Following the conclusion of the competition's opening stage, the Premier League outfit face a home time against League Two outfit Notts County.
The game at Villa Park means that highly rated Grealish could line up against the club where he made his competitive debut in English football - a sentiment he was quick to point out on Twitter:
The youngster enjoyed a loan spell at Meadow Lane during the 2013/14 campaign, where he made 37 league appearances and scored five goals - and also found himself widely credited with helping the Magpies avoid relegation that season.
Having returned to Aston Villa to step up his development, he was able to flourish under Tim Sherwood - featuring on 17 occasions in the Premier League last term - but suffered hamstring injury during pre-season.
The creative midfielder missed Villa's opening-day win over Bournemouth last weekend and is not likely to be ready to feature against Manchester United at Villa Park this evening. But Grealish will no doubt relish facing his former side in the Capital One Cup.
